Thursday, January 29th, 2009

The breadth of Chinese history and culture is illustrated here with examples of architecture, landscape design, sculpture, ceramics, painting, furniture, manuscripts and urbanism. These images compare the proud Terracotta Qin Warriors with urban scenes of modern Chinese life, and contrast the monumental Great Wall and elegant temples with panoramas of the contemporary high rises of today’s Shanghai. Also included are images from Japan, India, and Tibet. Latest news
